MONICA SIU Shades of Jazz CD – Anticipated for 2015!
Thanks to those of you who come out to my shows and support me! Thank you to those who always encourage me and always ask me when I’ll be recording my Monica Siu Originals! Good things take time…… so I’m in process working on things before I head into the recording studio. Here are some samples of songs that you can look forward to when it is recorded and released. Good times at our “Inaugural” Jul 19th 2014 MONICA SIU Shades of Jazz Latin Ensemble “Summer Samba Show”. The Show was well attending, and there was a lot of groovin and movin! The audience was in a dancing mood! Incredible time making good music with kindly fellow band members!

This is beautiful Samba song is written by by Haroldo Lobo and Nilton de Souza .Tristeza. It’s been recorded by many Brazilian and North American singers alike. Astrud Gilberto, Ellis Regina, Sergio Mendes and even Frank Sinatra have recorded. My favourite is Frank Sinatra’s version.

The Show was a SOLD OUT event. Wonderful time playing with the wonderful Band Musicians, and beautiful music was made! It was an honour to play for the audience. Thank you to all who came out!
This song “By The Water” (To My Uncle) was written to honour the life of my Uncle Clement who passed away November 25, 2013 – just days before my MONICA SIU Shades of Jazz “Debut Original Compositions Show”. Life is short, so I’d love to encourage us all to appreciate our loved ones. Enjoy!
